Carbon Neutral Mailing
Pepper is now proud to offer Carbon Neutral Mailings via our prefered DSA (Down Stream Access) supplier TNT Post. This is a new initiative for our customers to enable them to demonstrate their corporate social responsibility. It is an added value service that works in addition to any of the current TNT Post UK mail services we offer.

The offering can be broken down into four key areas:
Evaluation – TNT Post have a carbon calculator that looks at the carbon emissions created throughout the entire lifecycle of a mailing. This includes paper, ink, packaging and fulfillment, through to data, transportation and final delivery.
This has been developed by The Carbon Neutral Company and The Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Management.
Reduction – We have recommended suppliers that we can refer to you in order to help make reductions to your carbon emissions. These are in four areas; data cleansing, data capturing, recycled paper and also a consultancy service. The consultancy service is for those customers that would like to look at an overall strategy of reducing their emissions. The consultant will assess the customer’s current mailing practices and give a detailed report of recommendations.
Offset – The customer must offset their emissions in order for their mailing to be CarbonNeutral. Offsetting essentially means that for every tonne of carbon created throughout the mailing, a tonne of carbon emissions can be saved somewhere else. This is achieved through purchasing offset credits which enable carbon saving projects to get up and running. The offset projects are provided by The CarbonNeutral Company, who guarantee every tonne of credit bought and verify that it has been achieved.
Accreditation – Once you have offset your carbon emissions you will receive a certificate that states your mailing is CarbonNeutral for a certain time period. You will also receive the CarbonNeutral indicia/logo which can be used on your mail sent through TNT Post.
