Founded by Steve Whitford in 1982 Pepper have diversified from a small two person business to its current position at Langage Science Park. Managing Director Jude Whitford believes that Pepper's success is credited to diversifying into direct mail and data management providing services for a wide variety of sectors, we have maintained a strong foothold in our industry when others have seen a downturn.

The article concludes:

Saul Whitford, director of online, said Pepper has further developed to offer advice to customers about the most effective direct marketing, adding: "We can develop their sales through mail order and drive traffic on line as well.

"Getting something through your door actually produces a lot of traffic on line."

Pepper – which has Seth Whitford as sales director and Jake Whitford as production director – is expecting 2015 to be profitable.

"In our sector people were going to the wall," said Jude. "And during the recession, like most businesses, we had a dip in sales and profits.

"But in the past three years we have had double-digit growth."

Pepper, which was started with Steve employing just one person, how has 35 staff and is aiming to create another eight jobs this year on the back of receiving a £120,000 Regional Growth Fund injection.
