Relocating to Plymouth in 1980 Steve Whitford founded Pepper, having had a successful business in Essex. Starting in a small unit at Marsh Mills Industrial estate then (The Design & Print Workshop) it quickly outgrew the space moving to Langage Industrial Estate, then to the purpose built factory where it remains today. He remained MD until his passing in 2016. His sons Jude, Seth, Jake and Saul were already directors working in the business alongside him.
The brothers, Seth, Jude, Jake and Saul re branded as Pepper because they were tired of complicated supply chains when trying to organise offline direct marketing. Being marketing graduates they designed Pepper around one aim; to make offline direct marketing simple. By being independently & family-owned, and by constructing our purpose-built Eco factory we can ensure quality & speed to market by owning the entire process with minimal impact on the environment.
With more than three decades of experience, Pepper is an energetic, fresh and vibrant team of print marketing aficionados who have been working for some of the world’s leading brands. Today, more than 50 engineers, designers, craftsmen, and production workers build and operate sophisticated, custom equipment that produces millions of highly personalised marketing communications every year.
Of course, it isn’t enough to make something that looks good. We endeavour toward work that drives action, generates results and makes for change.
That’s why Pepper has something for everyone. Focused on creating the most suitable solutions for our clients, you can always expect to be a couple of steps ahead of the competition while reaching your goals.
